Nina Hampton
Facilitator
Bachelor of Education (Foundation Phase) Stellenbosch University 2004
As a teacher of 3-8-year-olds for 16 years, I saw a real need for emotional development education in my pupils. I taught Grade R boys for 7 years and we had the privilege of having Heart Matters as part of our programme - where I saw the benefits and vital skills it provided first hand.
Since becoming a mother 5 years ago, I discovered how much support I needed to parent consciously. Since then I have read extensively and worked closely with play therapists to learn and grow in conscious parenting.
Add in my breast cancer diagnosis in 2020 and I embarked on a personal journey into my own emotional development and expression. On this healing journey, my passion for the importance of emotional development was ignited. Being a Heart Matters Facilitator means I can combine my passion for early childhood development and emotional development. I love how Heart Matters supports the child, teacher, and parents with tools for healthy emotional development! I’m so excited to be part of this team.
